We take missed appointments at Willowbrook very seriously as we have in excess of 200 per month, which is lot of wasted Doctor, Nurse & Phlebotomist's time.
By not phoning in and cancelling unwanted appointments we are not able to offer these appointments to another patient to use.

Our policy is that we send a warning letter to patients after missing two appointments without informing us, and if they continue to miss another appointment their name goes forward to the Doctors for consideration of removal from our practice list. The patient is then asked to register with another practice.
In the months April to June 2010 we sent out 45 ‘First Warning’ letters and 27 ‘Second Warning’ letters to patients who did not attend or cancel their appointments. Also, after several warnings about not cancelling appointments, 7 patients were removed from the practice list.
